It’s rare that any music I make finds its impetus in something concrete. My music is more about working through materials than attempting to convey something, but there are exceptions. This piece is one of the exceptions. I had a dream that I was in a desert with a large canyon. In this desert was a tribe of people dressed in clothes similar to the Wodaabe. They took me to the canyon and showed me their ritual that consisted of throwing bananas into the canyon and chanting “Woyatake Wohdahge”. The canyony was almost filled to its brim with bananas. This is a pretty accurate depiction of the feeling of that dream.
